The Cats: Gus Davis and St. Olaf
- Yes, these are the cats that terrorize the Davis household.
- Gus is black and white. We got Gus (Augustus) at the Watonwan county humane society. He used to be very aggressive. Then we put him on various medications to try to control the aggression, and instead it just made him weird(er). Now instead of biting, he just growls. A lot. Of course he used to bite. A lot. So this is better. Gus is a big cat. He weighs about 12 pounds now, but at one point was up to about 14 - but it's all muscle (the better to bite you with!)
- Olaf is the orange cat. He spends his days sleeping and terrorizing Gus. Olaf came wandering through the parking lot at Steve's office when he was about 6 weeks old. How can you resist something so cute? Olaf now weighs about 10 pounds.
- Well, Gus couldn't let his reputation for being vicious get away from him... He bit the mailman and drew blood. Thankfully it's only on the second bite that he has to be registered as a dangerous animal with the county...

We get along, really!
Don't you think I'm cute?

Gus got injured... we don't know how, but he's all better now.
No wonder the house is cold! At least the cat is warm!.
